Efrain Peralez Sr., 86, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-father, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Efrain was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Efrain brought a smile to all he encountered and leaves behind beautiful memories. Efrain was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Efrain is preceded in death by a son, Efrain Peralez Jr., an infant daughter, Aurora Peralez; and a daughter and son-in-law, Maria Elena and Romualdo Nieto; his parents: Maria de la Luz and Patricio Peralez; and 3 sisters: Refugia P. Medina, Micaela P. Ramos, and Aurora P. Garcia; and a brother, Gualberto Peralez.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Alicia Garza Peralez; his children: Patricio (Irma) Peralez Sr., Maria de la Luz “Lucy” (Tony) Sanfilippo, Margarita P. (Miguel) Medina, Alicia Peralez, Rosalinda P. (Daniel) Saucedo, and Viviana P. (Ruben) Amaro; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Efrain will also be missed by his sister, Rebecca P. Garcia; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Y. Peralez and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 at Darling Mouser Funeral Home with a Rosary service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. The Funeral Mass is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Please call the funeral home to obtain the time of the Mass. Committal services will follow the Mass at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
